CBSE Disaster Management program

The Board has introduced this new program with the intention of empowering the country’s younger generation with necessary skills and talents to react on crisis situations arising out of natural or man made calamities. In addition, the program will also endeavor to infuse a sense of being prepared and readiness among the students. To instill a set of values among students so they will volunteer without hesitation for services in disaster afflicted areas. To prepare students to face disaster with sense and educate disaster management skills.

What are the curriculum areas of Disaster Management Program?

  • CBSE initiative in integrating disaster management in to a school curriculum has never been attempted by any other educational Board in Indiain the past. The program has been integrated as a new component in the syllabus of social science for Class VIII students.

CBSE Language study programs

The Board in addition to providing curriculums for the studies of English and Hindi has made further arrangements to incorporate another 27 languages in their study programs. The extra languages contain regional Indian languages and a range of foreign languages such as German, French, Spanish, Russian etc.

 

CBSE involvement in augmenting music and fine art talents of children

CBSE has integrated subjects in these disciplines to facilitate students who prefer arts subjects and wish to pursue higher studies in the relevant schemes. Subjects such as Indian dance techniques and culture, painting, music and sculpture are integrated into CBSE study curriculums.
