Refund of CBSE examination fees
The Board will consider application for refunds by students who are declared as not eligible for examinations due to not complying with minimum attendance mark of 75%. However, such refunds will only be entertained if the application is received within 3 months of from 1st date of the examination.
Students who will be producing forged certificates or make misrepresentations in their application form will not be able to claim refunds due to their application for examination being rejected.
If a student unfortunately dies before examinations, the examination fees paid by deceased will be refunded in full. Such applications for refunds should be made within 3 months of the 1st date of examination. For regular students refunds will be made to the student’s parent or guardian via Head of his/her school. For private candidates the refund will be made available to specified persons as mentioned in their student examination application form.
If a student has paid any amount exceeding specified examination fees such excess amounts will be refunded by CBSE provided student make a request for refund within three months of making their payment. The Board will deduct a minimum amount of Rs. 10/- in such circumstances.
