What are the main objectives of CBSE?

The Central Board of Secondary Education strives to accomplish a series of interlinked goals to fulfill their vision and missions set forth at the point of establishment and enhanced along the course of events. 

  • To set forth guidelines and conditions for examinations.
  • To take on the conducting of public examinations for students who complete class X or XII.
  • To be the apex body in awarding certifications to qualifying and successful students from all affiliated schools of CBSE.
  • To fulfill and act as an educational gap provider for students who has parents employed in Government capacities and who has to undergo several location transfers within their job capacities.
  • To prescribe, set guidelines and bring up to date program and course instructions pertaining to examinations.
  • To enhance the number of affiliations with CBSE in order to serve the country by raising academic quality and national standards.

In order to achieve specified objectives and carry out all relevant activities to the highest efficiency and effectiveness, the Board will primarily focus on fulfilling following criteria:

  • Introduce and derive innovative methodologies to enhance teaching and learning systems in the country.
  • Devise with extensive research user friendly and student focused paradigms.
  • Uplift and enhance student skill levels to orient them and bring forth a professional man power force by adding job focused and job connected inputs.
  • To continuously work towards upgrading educational and tutorial skills of teachers, coachers and educational administrators by conducting various levels of training programs, seminars and work shops.
