Imposition of penalties for students conducting unfair means

Students who practice any kind of action considered as Unfair Means by the CBSE will be issued an examination result indicating Unfair Means and will not be entitled to any pass marks.

Students who practice such means will be reported to the Result Committee for actions. The committee will decide on the course of actions depending on the crime purported by the student.

However, the committee will call explanations from students to seek out reasons for such unfair means of practice. Such students will have to report personally for the meeting and students who fail to turn up at such a calling will be dealt at the total discretion of the result committee.

If the Board ascertains that unfair means had been carried out in the entire examination center or in the majority of students, then the Board will have discretion in canceling out results of all students who faced the examination from the particular center.

Names of students who have attempted unfair means will be circulated to all educational universities, institutes and colleges in the country together with other education Boards conducting Secondary School or Senior School Certificate examinations.

Students are strongly advised by the Board to refrain from engaging in any action that will be considered as unfair means as the result will be loss of examination qualification not just through CBSE conducted examinations but by all other national level educational institutes.
