What are holding over fees for CBSE examinations?
Students, who are unable to successfully pass any CBSE examination or fail to be present at all relevant papers of the examination, will not be able to claim for any examination fees. Equally they cannot request for their fees to be held in account for the next examination. Students who have not been able to present for the entire examination however, could request for holdover of examination fees provided they are able to satisfy the Controller of Examinations with valid reasons for absence. Such students should produce a medical certificate within 15 days of commencement of examinations. For any other reason, students are requested to produce sufficient supporting documents to vouch their reason for absence with in the same time period. If the Chairman CBSE deems such excuses to be valid and genuine the student will be able to hold over their respective examination fees for the ensuing examination. However, fees will not be held over for more than two successive years. Students will not be able to claim refunds on any held over fees.
