Class XII – Economics issues
The NCERT txt books in economics carry topics that are not relevant to CBSE syllabus of economics. What are the guidelines for students in study methods?
The Board advice students to follow prescribed syllabus of the Board and consult only relevant topics in the NCERT text books. There is supplementary published material available for students to refer in matters not covered by NCERT text books.
Should students refer to private publisher’s text books in preparing for their CBSE examinations?
Annually CBSE will publish curriculums pertaining to each subject in Secondary and Senior Examinations. Teachers are requested to guide students in following syllabus matters strictly. Supplementary reading material is provided by CBSE and details could be obtained by login to their official website. In addition students should refer to past examination papers to intensify their knowledge. The board no longer recommends the use of private text books and request students to only refer NCERT text books.
