How to change examination centers for students appearing in CBSE examinations?
Students are mandated to sit for their examinations only at allocated examination centers and they cannot willfully appear at any other preferred center without specific approval from the Board.
Chairman of the Board will consider change of examination centers when a student has transferred to a another school in a different city. Students should make an application for change of examination centers forwarded through respective Head of School.
Such transfers on the part of students have to be for the reason of his/her parents being transferred on official capacities from one city to another. Change of examination centers will not be possible within one month after commencement of examinations. Parents of the student should make a request providing valid documentary to support their case of transfer. Such transfer notices and request for changes has to be forwarded to the CBSE before 15th July each year. Change of examination center will be only granted after checking that the proposed examination center has available examination papers to accommodate more students.
