The Chairman
The Board of CBSE is headed by a Chairman who is the Chief Executive. He is assisted by five Departments which are each headed by a director in return. The five department heads are the Secretary, Controller of Examinations, Academic Director, Research and Development, Edusat and Vocational Education Director and Special examination, projects and training Director. The controlling authority of CBSE is reserved to Education Secretary of the ministry of Human Resource Development. He is empowered with the appointment of Board Chairman and other Directors.
